In Noel's English class we wrote a memoir, which is basically just a really memorable moment in your life that also has a message in it.
Kicked out of Macy’s
By: Kenneth Garcia
An incident that shows what me and my friends are like is when we got kicked out of Macy’s for spilling soda on a couch. We walk into Macy’s while laughing at some lady that just fell. As soon as we walked into Macy’s the employees started to follow us and make sure we weren’t doing anything that seemed sketchy. The first thing that an employee told my two friend and I were to not sit on the furniture with food or drinks, but knowing me I would go ahead and do the exact opposite of what she told me and my friends not to do. As soon as I tried to sit on a chair my friend pulled it from underneath me and down I went. My soda went flying in the air and it ended up landing on a Queen sized bed.
The employee saw what had happened and yelled.“Are you serious?!”

I was too busy dying of laughter and so were my other two friends.
After about three minutes of us trying to help help get the soda off the bed (which was not going to come off) the employee called security and from that point all I remember is a really huge man coming and kicking us out of the store. While walking or getting kicked out of the Macy’s I at leased asked if I could get the rest of my soda. My exact word were “Hey bro can I get the rest of my favorite drink?”
The security guard very rudely denied my request of getting back my beloved Barq’s root beer. He gave me a very stern look, and said “ Shutup kid get out of here.”
I was heartbroken , but got over it quickly because the rest of the night with my friends was pretty great. About two to three weeks later I returned to the same Macy’s, but this time I returned with my mom. I was honestly pretty scared to return because I thought the employee would recognize me and tell my mom what had happened. When I walked into the store I saw one of the employees from that night and my heart sank. Where my mom was heading is exactly where the employee was working. Great.
The employee noticed me, and asked if I was the boy that spilled root beer everywhere a few weeks ago. I hesitated to answer her, and got sweaty palms. “Yes that was me, sorry about that.”
It was quite the awkward experience considering the fact that this was the same employee that yelled at me. The employee replied with a “Sorry about yelling at you, and your friends I was having a terrible day.”
I told her it was fine, and went about and explored the Macy’s, and even left with a waffle maker three weeks after getting kicked out of it.
Living life to the fullest and little moments like these is what has made my life very enjoyable.
